1960's Instala Děčín Czech Scissor Task Lamp
1960's Instala Děčín Czech Scissor Task Lamp
A great example of a mid-20th century Soviet Union task lamp.
Being both a scissor / concertina mechanism combined with a gooseneck as well as a vertical rotator, this lamp is the ultimate in articulation to any angle or position.
We have completely rewired and refitted this lamp with an e27 bulb holder suitable for e27 Edison screw type bulbs, added a push button switch to the wall bracket, and 1.5 m of black braided flex and plug
This lamp can either be wired directly to the wall by a qualified electrician, or simply plugged in to a wall socket.
In terms of condition, this lamp is structurally and mechanically excellent. Cosmetically, you should be aware that this is an industrial lamp from a communist factory where it has been used. You are required to look at all the images as these form an important part of the description of goods
There is a complex and developed patina to the paintwork that adds to its charm and history.
Full extension of the lamp is approximately 112 cm. The rotator will travel through 180° up and down and left and right.
You can use pretty much any e27 bulb you like but we would suggest LED as the still hood will get rather hot with a traditional high wattage tungsten bulb.
