A superb pair of antique wall lights, in the manner of W.A.S Benson, now fully restored and rewired by Appreciate Things.

A crested shield wall plate supports two scrolling arms that in turn carry circular galleries supported by claw appendages to hold two victorian globe opaline shades.

Newly rewired and fitted with BC B22 brass lamp holders, both of which are earthed.

The pair are ready to be installed by a competant electrician.

Condition:

In very good condition with brightly polished brass. To one light there is obvious prior restoration as can be seen in the photos where the two arms meet and join. The joint has been soldered and brazed effectively and there is no structural weakness resulting. There is a further small split towards the back of one arm, but again this is cosmetic rather than structural. These issues are trivial and do not detract from the pieces.

It should be noted that the glass globes are very slightly different in form from each other, being hand blown and presumably being replaced over the years. There is no difference in colour or quality. There are a few chips to the rim of one shade.
