1970's Christian Dell for Kaiser Leuchten "Idell" Desk Lamp
1970's Christian Dell for Kaiser Leuchten "Idell" Desk Lamp
The 1970s version of the Idell desk lamp by Kaiser is now something of a rarity. It remains however a stunning looking and expertly engineered piece of mid-century German design
Of steel construction with matte black finish to base and shade, the head of the lamp rises on a chromed gooseneck Which allows for variable height. A ball joint allows the head to swivel in any direction.
Bearing an attribution label inside the shade and fitted with black plastic cable and a black 13 amp plug. The lamp is operated by a switch on the base.
Along with a 1930s model this particular lamp has been on my desk for several years, and has never let me down as a functional and beautiful statement piece.
In excellent working order, there are a couple of minor marks to the paintwork on base and shade as can be seen in the images.
Max height 69 cm
Base diameter 16 cm
