Manufactured from hand blown glass orbs, bespeckled with fine gold and resting between polished french brass components, these are truly stunning lamps that represent the high style of french design in the middle of the 20th Century.
Newly rewired with braided cable and fitted with new hardware: E27 Edison Screw bulb holders with shade rings, black inline switch and 13A plug. Fully tested.
The lamps measure 37x27cm without the shades, which add an additional 20cm, making these an imposing yet stunningly luxurious and elegant addition to any living space.
Le Dauphin: Located in the heart of the region Rhône Alpes, Le Dauphin is a brand famous for its high-end luminaires and its timeless style. The artisan factory is located in Saint-Marcellin, some 50 kilometres from Grenoble.
Le Dauphin created a wide range of light fixtures, from classic ceramics to decorated metal, through the transparency of hand-cut glass.
“To dress the light so that it becomes a source of decoration” was the motto of the Le Dauphin company.
The company name has it’s origin in the former name of the province where it’s located: Dauphiné.
